The Redbox Architects Kids' Trolley Design Challenge

logo-redbox-architects An invitation to all kids from 0 to 15 to HAVE A GO as trolley designers

  • Use your imagination and dream up your Ultimate Trolley
  • Get your ideas down on paper
  • Enter your Design Portfolio in the 2011 Redbox Architects Kids' Design Challenge

Prizes

To help bring their vision alive and be built in time to enter the 2012 derby, winners in each of the three grades will receive:

  • support and advice from an experienced trolley building mentor
  • materials to the tune of around $150

Get thinking, get dreaming and then get out your crayons, pencils, pens and/or laptops and design your dream trolley

Here is your chance to get your whackiest ideas, your wildest dreams and your most fantastic designs down on paper in time for the judging on Derby Day, and - for the winners - get some feedback from the experts and some help building your dream in time to enter a real trolley in the 2012 derby

Design your dream trolley to look fast and sleek or whacky and weird – anything goes as long as it can - at least in theory - be built!

Three Grades

Nippers Designers:
for designers born from 2005 to 2011 inclusive
Zoomers Designers:
for designers born from 2001 to 2004 inclusive
Sprinters Designers:
for designers born from 1997 to 2000 inclusive

Please Note:

The years for the Designers are NOT the same for the Drivers
This is so that if/when you are a 'Design Challenge' winner on derby day 2011, you and your trolley will be in the right grade in 2012

Design your ultimate trolley!
